The trained officers are posted as Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) which is a Class 1 position. Most of the officer can expect to retire as ADGP (Addl. Director General of Police) or DGP (Director General of Police) as the promotion are mostly based on the seniority. An IPS officer can also go for deputation to central government posts.

Our surveys of supervisors of new entry-level officers tell us that they possess strong work experience, technical and IT skills, and professionalism. Though this information is welcome, it by no means signals an end to the evolution of the entry process. FSOs themselves are expected to adapt to changing circumstances and to improve their performance over time. They do this through soliciting feedback from their peers and supervisors, as well as through critical self-assessment. The entry process for their profession should be no different.

The subsequent efforts to reduce the over–prescription of painkillers led those Americans who became dependent on them to resort to illegal heroin. That in turn stimulated a vast expansion of poppy cultivation in Mexico, particularly in Guerrero. In 2015, Mexico’s opium poppy cultivation reached perhaps 28,000 hectares, enough to distill about 70 tons of heroin (which is even more than the 24–50 tons estimated to be necessary to meet the . demand).
