After collection of primary data, it was summarized in master table. The data was analyzed and synthesized by using various kinds of diagrams and graphs, etc. Geographical Information System (GIS), cartographic, statistical method, tabulation, diagram, graphical and other techniques were used to present and analyze secondary data (Figure ). Various GIS and image processing software’s such as Arc View and ERDAS Imagine were also used in present study. Land use/cover change analysis was done using satellite images, toposheets and observations of villagers and tourists. First of all, interpretation of satellite images was done using on-screen digitization and it was complemented by people’s perceptions. Assessment of forest cover and biodiversity was done using Digital Image Processing (DIP) and matrix analysis method, etc. This was also further complemented by people’s perceptions.
